Impeached president Traian Basescu stated, Sunday night, that he didn't go to vote because he had asked Romanians to do the same thing and he didn't want his presence at the polling station to validate a referendum that was about blowing up the number of ballots and about girls in bikinis voting, accordin to Mediafax press agency.
Băsescu explained why, in spite of the fact he said he would vote, in the end he didn't do that anymore. Accordin to him, his decision was based on „two evaluations“.
Firstly, Băsescu pointed out that all through the Sunday, he had asked Romanians not to vote. Secondly, the impeached president said he had not wanted to validate „was done to blow up the number of ballots at the referendum“.
