Băsescu explained why, in spite of the fact he said he would vote, in the end he didn't do that anymore. Accordin to him, his decision was based on „two evaluations“.
Firstly, Băsescu pointed out that all through the Sunday, he had asked Romanians not to vote. Secondly, the impeached president said he had not wanted to validate „was done to blow up the number of ballots at the referendum“.
