"You cannot go into the opposition just because you’ve decided to leave the government", Radu Stroe said on Antena 3.
Radu Stroe showed that the USL was born under the framework of some "sad realities" and built up around the friendship between the two leaders Victor Ponta and Crin Antonescu, but which had a major interest: to "dismantle the Basescu regime."
The former Interior Minister said that his biggest disappointment is that through the USL division process, they had forgotten about the voters. "We came up with a project for the country, and you cannot make a country project for a 4 years’ time" Radu Stroe said.
“I have not come here to attack the party leader. I believe that at the time the fractured occurred, whose motivation I cannot find it was a serious mistake”, Radu Stroe said who reminded that at the time he was Minister of Interior he had stated on Antena 3 that the one who will break up the USL would be a “dead man(...) in the sense that he would lose before the electorate”.
"I can only tell you that there is no main reason for the USL break up", the PNL leader concluded.
