President Klaus Iohannis says he agrees that the CSAT should check whether there are undercover officers in the judiciary body and of SCM files such a request, the CSAT will definitely do so.

Antena 3 reporter, Berta Popescu, explained that the topic was addressed in the SCM plenum meeting.
"It was discussed the request file by the National Union of Judges in Romania, there were some pretty heated discussions, but finally the SCM decided to approve and accept this request by the judges, because it seems that the statements made by Traian Basescu and former director of the SRI, whereby justice is a "tactical field" affected the people's faith in the judiciary.

"The people from the Judges Union considered that it is normal to conduct a series of verifications. The SCM notified the CSAT and sent in all the prosecutors and judges statements in original copies, to see who and what they declared exactly the moment they joined the bench that they are not part of any other systems and that they are not undercover officers. These statements will be taken to la CSAT."

The scandal broke out after Traian Băsescu spoke about the fact that in the judiciary, until 2004, there had allegedly existed undercover officers. Moreover, Traian Băsescu also addressed the fact that he did not know whether such officers still existed in the system , which left a shadow of doubt persist over the judiciary.

Subsequently, SRI remitted a statement, about the fact that the justice is a "tactical field ic". Moreover, UNJR requested the SCM to take a public stand and set things straight. .
