The debts incurred by the big companies to the state budget are stressing over the Romanian economy. The alarm signal is given by the president founder of the Conservative Party, Dan Voiculescu who says that the overdue payments to the state budget of the top 10 companies exceed EUR 3 billion.

The debts are largely made by the state companies and the effects thereof is an uncompetitive economy, that no investor is interested in.

The amount the companies owe to the state, 3 billon Euros, is huge, considering that in 2010, the pensions and salaries of the budget supported personnel, have been reduced to make savings of 2 billion Euros, Dan Voiculescu explains.

The president founder of the Conservative Party has consistently reported the importance of reducing these arrears, which are catastrophic to the economy. He stated that even the IMF had insisted on this during the negotiations with the governments of the Basescu regime. But the effect was the opposite one.
‘ If in 2010 the arrears to the state budget amounted to two billion, in two years the amount increased by 50%. The effect: budget deficit, an uncompetitive economy, perpetuating a bankrupt management, " Dan Voiculescu says.

Moreover , Voiculescu warns that nobody would invest consistently in a debts burdened economy.

The Tory leader says that if this challenge of debts reduction is managed successfully, the Romanian economy will be granted a real opportunity for development. If not, the country will continue to be indebted, it would not invest in education, health and research and would continue to embellish a moribund economy Dan Voicu adds.
