Romania will join the Eurozone, most likely in 2021, and a speeding of the process will not lead to an adoption of the single currency earlier than 2018, analysts appreciate, according to a survey conducted by the Association of Financial Banking Analysts (AAFBR) . According to the views expressed by participants in a national AAFBR survey, Romania could adopt the euro as early as 2018, but most participants in the survey believe that 2021 will be year for Romania to join the Eurozone, incomemagazine.ro reports.
Reducing development gaps between Romania and the Eurozone countries is a major challenge for the upcoming years, according to many analysts surveyed.
For 2014 analysts see a possible slowdown of the economic growth to 2%, compared to an estimated 2.4% for the current year. Opinions on the next year evolution, however, vary quite a lot, with a range between 1.5% and 3%.
