Klaus Iohannis: Premier Ponta should meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel

The Prime vice-president of the National Liberal Party, Sibiu mayor Klaus Johannis, said Tuesday evening, on the  "Subjective " show that Prime Minister Victor Ponta should  meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

‘I do not know  why they haven’t met, but in my view, they should. Therefore, I hope the rumor  is true about a meeting having been scheduled’.

According to  Klaus Iohannis, the meeting between the Romanian Prime Minister and the German Chancellor  should be taking place as soon as possible.

‘"I think everyone agrees that the relations between Romania and Germany can be much better than they are now. We have good economic relations, we have very many investors from  Germany and yet  we are under the constant impression  that  that there is a distance which  should not exist. Therefore, I can say that it would be  appropriate for the Prime Minister to make a visit to Berlin,  he should meet with Mrs.  Merkel and  he should  raise the  bilateral relations to a higher level ", the PNL  prime vice-president feels..
