That means one secret agent to every 1200 citizens. Therefore, the services budgets match the number of employees, their summed up budgets are twice larger than the Ministry of Health’s budget.
In our country there are about 40 thousand doctors. The 2014 budget allocated to the Ministry of Health is about 730 million lei. Instead, the government has been more generous with the secret services. A simple analysis of the budgets for SRI, SIE, STS and SPP salaries of will show that they are almost double than that of Health. That is over 1.3 billion lei. That's without taking into account the protection and guard services DGA, DGIPI and DIA.
Let’s analyze one at the time.
The Romanian Intelligence Service seems to have hit the jackpot in the money distribution process. They received over 880 million lei. By 150 million more than the Ministry of Health. Their colleagues at SIE were somewhat less lucky. They’ve "only" gotten 128 million lei.
A budget just as generous was awarded to the STS. That is 188 million lei. And for SPP , the Government allocated almost 120 million lei.
