A percentage of 41% of Romanians would vote against the monarchy and for maintaining the republic, should a referendum on Romania's transition to monarchy be organized, while over 50% believe that the republic has the advantage that the president is voted regularly and there is no "risk to gain too much power "INSCOP survey reveals, according to Agerpres.

According to the survey, if they raised the issue of Romania becoming a monarchy, 41% of the respondents would vote against the monarchy and in favor of maintaining the republic, 27.2% would be in favor of the monarchy, and a percentage of 31, 8% have not made up their minds yet n should a referendum be held on the matter.

If Romania became a monarchy, 29.9% of the Romanians believe that King Michael of Romania should ascend the throne, 19% have opted for Princess Margaret, daughter of King Michael, and 3% said someone else, while 48 1% of respondents said they did not know or did not answer.

Asked how they felt about King Michael, 14% of respondents said that they foster a very good opinion, 31% a good opinion, 40% neither good nor poor, 5% poor and very poor 1.5% and 8.6 % did not know or did not answer.

A percentage of 41% of the respondents believe that King Michael , when he quit the throne did not leave with the country’s "wealth", but 25% think the opposite, while 34% have not formed an opinion on the subject.

Asked where they get information about the monarchy, 50.6% of the Romanian says most of what I know and have learned in school textbooks, 13.7% of people in the household, 11.8% of personal readings 11% of news - print and audio-visual documentaries 7.6% and 5.2% did not know or did not respond.

For 38.1% of the Romanians "today in Europe there are big differences between a republic and a monarchy", 35.8% do not agree with this statement, while 26.1% do not know or have not replied.

A percentage of 43.5% of the Romanians believe that "the monarchy has the advantage that the king does not depend on the parties and thus can arbitrate political life", while 32.5% disagree with this, while 24% did not expressed their opinion on this statement.
