The brief appearance of a shiny object in September 1972 near the village of Plopului Valley in Prahova was considered by the specialists in the field as a UFO landing, certified and scientific investigated in Romania, observatorulph.ro. reports.
The case, still a much disputed one, changed the fate of Professor Calin Turcu (1942-2006). He taught and lived almost his entire life in the city of Vălenii de Munte. He is the founder of RUFOR (Romanian UFO Researchers) and he published from 1979 to 1986, a magazine with a reduced circuit, which has 27 issues.
After "the Plopului Valley" case he became so passionate about UFOs that, lacking the funds for printing the magazine, he would typewrite the articles himself, then he would multiply them . He also published numerous books and articles in professional journals and has supported over 100 lectures on ufolofy in Romania.
