The Far-right party Golden Dawn in Greece, boosted by the success registered  nationally, seeks  to  expand abroad, "wherever there are Greeks", its members holding, according to an expert, "regular" meetings with the  neo-Nazis from various countries including Italy and Romania, the  Guardian reported   Monday, according to Agerpres.

The Party "will not only become the central pole of a pan-European alliance of neo-Nazis, even if publically they  strongly deny  it . They want  to expand their  influence throughout the world," Dmitris Psarras, author of a book on the history this organization said.

He also  said that its  members met regularly with neo-Nazi party in Germany, Italy and Romania.

The political party has already started opening  offices in Germany, Australia, Canada and the USA

The initiative of the  extremist group, which was founded in 1980, appears  amid fears that it  acts on the  promise to "set-up   cell-groups  in every corner of the world."

The desire for and  international expansion comes after several polls have shown that Golden Dawn has consolidated its position as the third political force in Greece, with the fastest growth rate. Once entered into  Parliament last year,  gaining 18 seats, the  ultra-nationalists are now quoted at a rate of 11.5% in a recent survey conducted by the Public Issue Institute.

The grouping - whose logo resembles the swastika and whose members are inclined to use the Nazi salute - increasingly strengthened, promoting itself as the only force ready to oppose the  'rotten system'.

Amid  rumors that it would be supported by wealthy ship owners, the party was able to open branches throughout Greece and beyond.

Golden Dawn hopes to take advantage of the  frustration and anger felt by the Greeks abroad during the  three years since their country heavily indebted, entered into a  crisis.

As part of its international efforts to expand, the  Golden Dawn also focused on the United States a magnet for immigrants for generations, and Canada, which attracted tens of thousands of Greeks subsequent to the e devastating civil war in Greece  during 1946-1949.
