Romania wins gold at European Rowing Championships
Romania’s women’s pair – lightweight double sculls - won Sunday the gold medal  in the European Rowing championship  in Seville, with this being the fifth continental consecutive title  won by Romania in this competition  type.            

The pair made up by sportswomen Cristina Grigoraş and  Andreea Boghian,   started on the 4th lane and ended the race of 2,000 meters with a time of 7:49.09 minutes, winning the gold medal. Germany (7:51.56 minutes) and Ukraine (7:57.26) were also on the podium. 

Sunday, on the last day of CE in Spain, Romania will have a  representation in the final  of  Men’s four  (  the crew  Marius-Vasile Cozmiuc, George Palamariu, Cristi-Ilie Pârghie, Florin Curuea ), Women’s  double sculls (Cristina Ilie-Ioana Crăciun) and Women’s eight (Roxana Cogianu, Ioana Crăciun, Cristina Grigoraş, Irina Dorneanu, Cristina Ilie, Andreea Boghian, Camelia Lupaşcu, Ionelia Zaharia and  Daniela Druncea).   

At the 2012 European Championship, Romania won five medals (two gold, two silver and one bronze).
