The number of Facebook accounts attributed to Romanian users reached at this time, 8 million, on the rise by 11.11% compared to the first six months of 2014 when there were 7.2 million accounts, according to data quantified by Facebrands.ro , the Romanian monitoring service of pages created on the social network, Agerpres reports.
Of all users, 93.45% (7,475,900 people) have set their city of residence and most Facebook account holders are from Bucharest, 1.64 million (21.95% of total), followed by those in Cluj-Napoca (280 040 persons, 3.76%), Timisoara and Iasi (by 280,000 people, 3.75%).
In contrast, the localities with the smallest number of Facebook users are Drăgăşani and Urziceni (by 11,200 people each, 0.15% of the total), Carei (11,100 persons, 0.15%) and Vulcan (10,400 persons 0 , 14%).
According to the Facebrands statistics, the persons aged 25 to 34 (29.9% of the total) are prevailing in terms of Facebook high frequency accessing. The following places belong to people aged between 18 and 24 years (24.7%) and those between 35 and 44 years (19%).
The ratio of people using the social Facebook network is in favor of men (62.5% of the accounts). Women use Facebook in a proportion of 37.5%, while, in terms of marital status, married people are holding the first place (57.96%), followed by single people, with 38.65% of the total.
Regarding the ranking of the most visited pages on Facebook recorded by stars in Romania, Inna remains leader with 12,133,352 fans (down by 488 compared to the last reporting), followed by Akcent (3,577,027 fans, + 44 fans) and Alexandra Stan, with 3,393,720 fans (231).
