Romanian MEP Siegfried Mureşan is the new spokesman for the European People’s Party (PPE), the party’s leader, Joseph Daul tweeted.
“MEP Siegfried Muresan is the new spokesman for the European People's Party. I will work closely with him and I wish him success in carrying out with his responsibilities", EPP President Joseph Daul wrote on Twitter, according to Mediafax .
"My goal is a better promotion of the EPP principles and activities throughout Europe " the Romanian MEP wrote in turn on his blog.
Siegfried Muresan is on his first MEP term, he ran for the European elections in May 2014 on behalf of the PMP.
According to his resume posted on the EPP website, Muresan has graduated the Economic Studies Academy and a master program at Humboldt University in Berlin.
In 2006 he was awarded s scholarship from Bundestag and for three years he served as a counselor of European Affairs Commission president in Bundestag, Gunther Kirchbaum.
Since 2009, he has been working for the European Parliament, and since 2011 he has been a counselor on economic and social policies of the European People’s Party.
