Romanian record on the auto market. Dacia doubled its sales in France, last month

9.128 new Dacia cars were registered in France, in July. This means an increase of 99,5% compared to 4.575 units registered in the similar period of 2011, according to an offcial announcement made by the French Car Constructors' Committee (FCCC).

In the first seven months of 2012, Dacia car registrations on the French market recorded a drop of 3,8%, down to 50.307 units, compared to the 52.309 vehicles registered between January and July 2011, accordin to Agerpres agency.

In July, brand new car sales on the French market registered a drop of 7%, down to 148.966 units, compared to the same period in 2011.

Dacia company was taken over by Renault in 1999. Re-launched in 2004 with the Logan model, Dacia has become in eight years a notorious player on the Euroepan car market.

Recently, at the Geneva Auto Show, Renault showed the most recent model of the Dacia series - the Lodgy.
