The world’s most powerful countries. The top three and Romanian’s position in the chart
The global economic crisis has changed a little the order among the largest economies of the world. However, Romania is far above neighbors Hungary and Bulgaria.
But to see the position our country holds , let's see first what are the top three ranked according to the size of their GDP.

The U.S. is first with a GDP value of $ 15.653 billion, followed by China with a value of 8250 GDP and Japan with 5.984 billion dollars.
Romania is ranked 54th , with a GDP value of 171 billion dollars, holding four positions over Hungary, but a precise target: to emulate the Czech Republic, which is on the 50th place. Thus, if this happened , Romania would enter the top 50 most powerful countries

Czech Republic, which ranks 50th has a GDP of 193 billion dollars, but the Eastern European countries leader is Poland - the country which managed to avoid recession during the economic crisis.
