Journalist Adrian Ursu said that it was to be expected that prosecutors would ask for a sentence with imprisonment for Dan Voiculescu to serve in the Telepathy trial, after "president Traian Băsescu pledged to take revenge on all those who tried to stand against him ".
"It was an expected move (...) It's the game that a part of the state institutions continues to make in compliance with the orders and commands coming from Traian Basescu, who has promised to take revenge on all who have tried at one time to raise against him, "said Adrian Ursu, Thursday on Antenna 3.
Also, the producer of the “Sequential” show on Antenna 3 believes that this file is a threat to those who oppose President’s regime. In addition, says Adrian Ursu, "the evidence is non-existent" in this case.
"It is an action that will continue. (...) This file is an attempt to intimidate those opposing Traian Băsescu regime", Ursu said.
Ursu’s reaction comes after the prosecutors have requested imprisonment for Dan Voiculescu in the Telepathy case file
April 2007, Traian Băsescu was suspended for the first time from the office of president of Romania by a commission chaired by Dan Voiculescu.
In April 2007 DNA started criminal prosecution against Voiculescu in the Lottery II file.
In September 2008, Dan Voiculescu announced his candidacy for the office of senator in Bucharest, pointing out his main objective was Traian Basescu’s dismissal seeking a new suspension.
In September 2008, at the beginning of the elections campaign DNA began criminal prosecution in the file "Telepathy-ICA".
