Businessman from Ploiesti city, Sebastian Ghiţă, owner of the news station RTV and financier of the Asesoft basketball team, runs in this year parliamentary elections from USL, the president of USL Prahova, Mircea Cosma announced.
According to Cosma, the businessman Sebastian Ghita will run for a mandate in the uninominal college no 4 of Prahova county, a constituency including Slanicului Valley, Mediafax informs.
Currently, this constituency is represented in the Chamber of Deputies by Marian Săniuţă, former minister for internal affairs in Adrian Năstase’s government. Săniuţă is now vice-president of the Civic Force Party.
Sebastian Ghiţă has been a PSD member since 2003. The businessman did not wish to comment on the information concerning his candidacy for parliamentary elections.
Asked if the party had proposed Ghiţă to run or whether he had expressed this desire himself, the PSD Prahova president said, "The proposal of Mr. Ghiţă’s candidacy has been forwarded by the youth organization of the PSD Prahova County".
