The death threat targeted both Mihai Gadea and his family.

"Mihăiţă dearest, when you will be crying over the death of someone in our family you should be aware it is not because you foster other thoughts. It is because you have betrayed and you have to pay. We are very sorry but you will die in six months....regardless of whether you quit your office with Antenna 3 or not. You are going to have an accident, a stupid one apparently but a deadly one for you. That’s life ....Trying to speak the truth about what is going on in the country, until then it becomes pointless. If you are going to survive the accident, the ones close to you will be.... but it doesn’t matter you know very well that on the other side there are still n.....lives. I do not hate you, nor Voiculescu, not Basescu, nor Ghita, nor the former Iliescu.... I wish all the people in Romania the best, you are excepted from that. (Camill Iliescu)
Antenna 3 station manager has filed a criminal complaint to that effect..
“I have received last night this message which is a direct death threat, nothing veiled targeted against me and my family. It is not the first time that I have received such massages, but I have decided that from now on such messages should not be left alone. I have filed a criminal complaint today with the Prosecutor General’s office, addressed to the Prosecutor General, because such actions whereby free journalist are being threatened with death should be punished”, Mihai Gadea stated Friday during a phone intervention on the show On Today’s Agenda.,
Regarding the person who wrote this threat, Mihai Gadea said it could be someone whom they had launch the threat or he could be "villain".
"There is the possibility that someone might have this man make the threat or there is the possibility that he might be a villain. This people should know that if they make death threats, they will pay. There will come the day when this people will pay”, added the Antenna 3 general manager.
"I can realise from this that the disclosures made on the Gazprom subsidiary deals sealed by notary Ioana Băsescu have caused quite a stir. We will not stop here and if they believe they will make us take a step back or withdraw the petition, then they are wrong", Mihai Gâdea pointed out.
In other terms, Mihai Gadea, on behalf of the television station he runs, said he will file a criminal complaint against President Traian Basescu, after the nervous breakout last night.
"Our television station will take legal action in the court related to the last night performance of President Traian Basescu. First he showed off an aggressive abusive behaviour, and he attempted to intimidate Antenna 3 correspondent in Cotroceni, Ionut Cristache "announced Mihai Gadea.
