Andreea Ogrăzeanu won  Monday, the second medal for  Romania at the World University Games in Kazan (Russia);she succeeded in  arriving   3rd in the 100 meters sprint.

The Romanian  was timed in 11 seconds and 41 hundredths, her personal best result of the year), being surpassed by Aunyelay Scott (USA) with 11.28, and Lina Gricikaite (Lithuania) with 11.32.

Before participating in the World University Games, Ogrăzeanu succeeded in the timing for 200 meters in  the World Championships in Moscow, which will be held in late -August.


Also on Monday, in the long jump sample, Cornelia Deiac ranked fourth with 6.36 meters.

  The Gold medal was awarded to the European champion , Daria Klişina (Russia), with 6.90 meters, followed by  her compatriot Elena Sokolova (6.73 meters) and Michelle Weitzel (Germany, 6.56 meters).

The other representative of Romania in the long jump test , Cristina Sandu, ranked 10th with 6.20 meters.

Romania's first medal in Kazan was brought  ​​Sunday by swordswoman Simona Pop who also won bronze.
