Hungary intends to open new checkpoints at the border with Romania
Hungary plans to open new checkpoints at the border with Romania, to foster cooperation between regions in both countries, according to a spokesman for Prime Minister Viktor Orban, quoted by MTI and Mediafax.

Bertalan Havas said the issue was discussed during a meeting between Viktor Orban,  the Hungarian Foreign Minister Janos Martonyi and his Romanian counterpart, Titus Corlăţean. The meeting was attended by the Premier’s  Chief of  Cabinet, Peter Szíjjártó and  by the Romanian Ambassador  to  Budapest.

The two parties  expressed their commitment to manage in  cooperation European issues such as  EU budget, cohesion funds and the  Common Agricultural Policy.

"Hungary and Romania share interest for the  rapid progress in the construction project of the  pipeline that would  cross Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary and Romania, as well as for the  AGRI and Nabucco projects West," said Havasi.
