Renault has launched the new Clio on the Romanian market, with prices ranging from €10,200 for the entry-level Authentique 1.2 16V version to €14,500 for the Dynamique Energy dCi 90.
Romania is one of the first countries in Europe which the new Clio is available to order, starting October 18.
Inspired by the DeZir concept car, the new Clio is the first Renault to inaugurate the brand’s new design language. The bodywork has a fluid shape and sensual curves that Renault says are evoking the power of seduction and the passion.
At launch, the new Clio is available with a choice of two petrol engines – 1.2 16V 75 and the 0.9-liter three-cylinder TCe 90 – with a third one, the 1.2-liter TCe 120, to come from 2013. Diesel engines include the dCi 75 and the new Energy dCi 90. The latter is the most fuel-efficient unit, with an average fuel consumption of 3.3 liters/100 km, making the new Clio the most economical B-segment car on the market. Both the Energy TCe 90 and the Energy dCi 90 are fitted with a Stop & Start system.
The new Clio comes with standard features such as ESP and Hill Start Assist, LED daytime running lights and key-less access card. The car also has multiple interior and exterior customization options.
