"Made in China is a phrase known throughout the world and its development process, China is modernizing and upgrading the economy and its facilities, while manufacturing plants in China account for an increasingly important share in the global market. Today, we discussed with Prime Minister Ponta in particular about a cooperation on Chinese installations, about Romanian infrastructure building in other specific areas such as: rapid rail, wind energy, nuclear energy and common rail, "said Li Keqiang , in a joint press conference with Prime Minister Victor Ponta.

He also pointed out that Romania is known as “Europe’s Granary " and China is interested to import products.

"Romania has got advantages in terms of installations manufacturing facilities, as well as advantages in terms of agriculture. Romania is called the Granary of Europe and we want to import products such as: beef and mutton from Romania. As much as you can provide, we can import from you, " Li Keqiang told Ponta, who replied with a smile:" Of course!. "

Also, the Chinese Premier noted that Romania is the second largest country in the region.

According to data from the Ministry of Commerce in Beijing, the trade volume between China and Romania amounted to 3.27 billion dollars in the first 10 months of 2013.

Chinese investments in Romania are worth 160 million dollars, while Romanian investments in China amount to 280 million dollars.

Romanian exports to China rose from 360 million dollars in 2008, to nearly a billion dollars last year. 
    
Chinese Prime Minister, Li Keqiang, arrived in Bucharest, this being the first visit to Romania of a Chinese Prime Minister over the past 19 years.
