Antonescu: Kovesi’s message is an intimidation one, a political action
The message of the Romania’s General Prosecutor, Laura Codruţa Kovesi – according to which the USL leaders, Victor Ponta and Crin Antonescu are not yet prosecuted – is and intimidation message an at the same time it is a political action, the PNL leader appreciates.

‘Kovesi’s message, in the absence of any item of any kind’ , is an intimidation one. I believe that this message is in full tuning with all the political actions that the General Prosecution and the DNA has undertaken even before the Constitutional Court’s ruling, Crin Antonescu, the president of PNL stated Thursday night during a phone intervention an Antena 3.

The Liberals leader justified his statement based on the fact that, several politicians, all USL members, have been charged in the referendum file also. Antonescu mentioned here, police officer Constantin Manoloiu, ex MAI minister Victor Paul Dobre, Teodor Athanasiu, presidents of political organizations, and recently Liviu Dragnea.

‘I believe we are dealing with an action conducted directly by the General Prosecution, whose effect is to intimidate all those who are not Traian Băsescu’s partners (...) who has been politically disqualified at the referendum and who does not stand another chance in politics unless by pulling apart all those who support USL ’, Antonescu added.

Kovesi stated Thursday night that so far neither Ponta nor Antonescu are being prosecute in the referendum file

‘Neither of them (nor Victor Ponta nor Crin Antonescu - ) has yet been placed under criminal investigation. I cannot make any more comments’, Romania’s General Prosecutor, Laura Codruţa Kovesi stated Thursday for gandul.ingo.
