"As many cohabitation agreements as you would have, it does not mean lying by omission. I would like to say a few words about the Partnership between the Government and the European Commission. (...) Cohabitation does not stand for lying", Basescu said.
Traian Basescu said that this agreement is a key document to be completed soon and "that is the basic preparation document for the funds absorption in 2014 - 2020".
"The agreement ignores the consistency of the Europe 2020 strategy for growth and employment. It is not possible, when you know that the basic document for EU development is the 2020 strategy, that you should not highlight them in that Partnership, not including in it the EU 2020 strategy objectives. This shows that the people in government who drafted the agreement have no idea about the Romania - EU relations in terms of long-term goals", Basescu said.
