Romanian City choked by pollution. Every waft in the air scatters caustic soda
The residents of a village in Tulcea put their health at risk every day. Every waft in the air scatters caustic soda from the Alumina factory in the city. Residues deposit on crops and on people's homes, while the authorities shrug their shoulders..

Although they know the dust is toxic, people say that they have become accustomed with the phenomenon especially since no one is undertaking any measure.

The dump from the Alumina Factory where caustic soda and aluminum processing residues are stored should be equipped with an irrigation system that wets at all times so the dust should not raise. The factory representatives assumes no guilt for the disaster.

Following an inspection of the environmental guard, the factory management could be fined between 30,000 to 100.000 Romanian lei.
