Gabriel Oprea, Romania’s Premier. What are his "new" responsibilities
Gabriel Oprea will lead the Government while Victor Ponta will be on vacation. There will be two weeks that he will "play" the Prime Minister of Romania, perhaps the only weeks that justify his salary.

Otherwise, he collects six thousand lei per month to sit in ambush. He admits it himself and an Antenna 3 investigation proves it. The Deputy Prime Minister spends a few hours at work each day. All this while, no one knows what he does. Not even Antenna 3 official request in this regard was taken into account by the Deputy PM.

Every morning, at around 8.30-9.00, Gabriel Oprea is taken from home by a government car and driven to Victoria Palace. Friday, for example, Oprea only spent three hours at the office. But his personal record is 7 hours. Nobody knows what Oprea does for the government, he is deputy prime minister without a portfolio.

Antena 3 has officially requested information about Gabriel Oprea’s activity over the last six months and what are the achievements he boasts with.

Oprea's office employees have sent in response only a copy of the emergency ordinance which theoretically sets forth his responsibilities. Almost three months ago, the deputy PM himself had a difficult times speaking about his responsibilities.

Gabriel Oprea earns about 6,000 lei per month from the Government. To that money is added the costs with his cabinet employees, drivers, security and other benefits.
