Romanian President Klaus Iohannnis believes that the opinions of the Venice Commision regarding the changes in the judiciary system represent an alarm signal that something is wrong with the current gouvering of the country. The Parliament should consider that the desired changes could push Romania in a different direction than the European Union is heading and the advice of the Venice Commision should be taken seriously.
Iohannis stated that is not acceptable for the whole legislation to be altered only to protect some political leaders that have problems with the law.
He is blaming these issues on the irresponsible actions of the Minister of Justice, Tudorel Toader. Given this he is asking for Toader's resignation.
